Yesterday was a fun day! The weather finally cooled off here after a few weeks of heat and humidity. Daddy got off work early for his "summer hours" and Mommy and Daddy decided to go and spend the afternoon outside with me at Olbrich Botanical Gardens.
What a beautiful place! I slept for most of the beginning of the outing, but after I woke up and ate, I really did enjoy seeing all the flowers and plants, as well as smelling the roses! It was a little new and different for me, but I was okay with it as long as Mommy or Daddy held me close. This picture is of Mommy and me in the Rose Garden; even though my eyes are closed, I really was awake and paying attention to the world around me!
I'm starting to discover the different sounds that I can make and like to play around with them a bit. I also am getting very good at holding my head up when Mommy or Daddy is holding me. One of my favorite things to do, though, is to stare at Mommy or Daddy's face while they hold me. I can't wait to see what I learn to do next!
