It was such a nice day today that Daddy took off of work so that we could have a four day weekend together as a family. I love my Daddy, especially when he gives me kisses!
This morning we went to the Rock River Thresheree together. I guess Daddy is trying to get me interested in tractors and steam engines already :) Boy, there were lots of them today, and they made such funny noises!
While Daddy was looking at the old tractors and tractor parts, I enjoyed walking around the flea market with Mommy (who found a few books for me). I'm getting good enough at holding my head up that I can face outward in the front carrier; life is a lot more interesting when I can see what's going on around me.
Mostly, though, I liked lying on my blanket and looking at the trees and grass while Mommy and Daddy had lunch. It was nice to be able to stretch my arms and legs after being cooped up in my carseat or carrier for a good part of the morning.
Unfortunately for Daddy, I slept through what he probably considered the most exciting parts of the Thresheree: the steam train that would go by, the old steam and diesel tractors, and all those hit-and-miss engines. Oh well, maybe I'll learn to love them in a few years.
I'm getting so good at smiling at Mommy and Daddy. One of these days they'll remember to get out the camera while I'm in a good mood so they can catch a picture of me smiling. I think they are still too excited to see me smile to think about taking pictures of those moments ;)
