A calm weekend at home!

Whew! Finally we had a nice, relaxing weekend here at home. I'm so glad we did, too, because it took me a few days to get over those immunizations; they were a bit tougher for me this time around. I'm also glad we had a calm weekend because this next one is going to be very exciting for our family. We get to fly to Florida to visit Aunt Michal, Uncle Sam, and cousins Jonah and Seth! We're all a little nervous (mainly about having me fly), but we're also pretty excited.

Besides all that, I am definitely a "thumb-sucker", a special term for babies like me. Turns out I like to suck my thumb especially when I'm tired or when I'm someplace unfamiliar. Sucking my thumb also helps calm me when I'm going to sleep or taking naps. Mommy and Daddy just hope that it won't be too hard to get me to stop sucking my thumb later on in my life!

My new "trick" is that I can roll from my back onto my right side pretty much whenever I want to. In fact, I tend to have fun in the evenings just going back and forth between my back and my side. To get onto my side, I kick my legs straight up and then twist them to the side; my shoulders just tend to follow. To return to my back, I just fling my arms straight out and somehow this helps me get to my back. Daddy thinks it's funny to watch me go from my back to my side to my back to my side ... over and over again ;)
