A weekend with many visitors

I had such an eventful few days last week. On Thursday morning, Mommy and I went over to Emily's house for our make-up play date. What fun I had! Not only was a exciting for me to watch Benjamin, Emily's 2 1/2 year old brother, but Emily and I stared at each other and shared our toys a bit.

On Friday, Daddy took the day off to hang out with his girls (yay!) and we went to Olbrich Gardens. Instead of walking around outside like we did last time (it was WAY too cold), we looked at a model train layout and walked around in the tropical conservatory.

Friday night, I got to hang out with Melissa (my godmother) while Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner (without me!). Melissa and I played a lot together; I'm so lucky to have such a great godmother that I get to see every week at church :)

On Saturday, Grandpa and Grandma stopped by to see me (and Mommy and Daddy) on their way to see Great-Grandma Grossman. They got to see me wiggle, hear me screech, and watch me jump and play. Grandpa and Grandma also got to read me some books. I'm really looking forward to seeing them again next weekend for Christmas!

With all this busyness, you might think I wouldn't be doing anything new, but then you'd be wrong! I've been playing a lot these days with sounds. When I'm having a really good time, I like to make this "fun" high-pitched, very loud screech. Mommy and Daddy don't mind too much, unless I start making that noise during church. (hehehe ...) I also have started using my lips more when I'm making sounds, blowing bubbles and testing out some "ba", "ga", and "da" sounds. I still love to play with my feet and toes, especially when I get to chew on those tasty socks!

Mommy, Daddy, and I (and I guess the cats, too) are looking forward to the next few weeks. Daddy is working today, tomorrow, and Wednesday, but then he's taking off of work until January 2. What fun we'll have together! I'm really looking forward to my first Christmas :)
