Mommy likes to describe me these days as very intent about my playing. No more of just hanging out and watching the world; I want to be a part of it! One of my favorite activities is to take things out of containers.
For example, I like to empty my toy baskets. In fact, I can pretty well get everything out of one in about 5 or 10 minutes. Too bad I'm not as good about putting things back inside the baskets yet.Another thing I like to do these days is dance to music, especially music from my toys. Granted, I don't dance like most people do since I can't stand and walk around. Instead, while I'm sitting I bounce back and forth as soon as the music starts on one of my toys. Daddy and Mommy think it's pretty funny to watch, but of course they dance along with me, too :)
This past Thursday morning Mommy and I went to Bible Study again to see how it would work with my napping schedule these days. The morning went really well; I even enjoyed playing in the nursery with the other kids for awhile! Unfortunately, I refused to take an afternoon nap since my morning nap was a bit later when we finally got home. Oh, well. We both agreed it was worth the distruption.
Mommy wanted me to share with you some of my eating habits, too. I'm still pretty good about taking baby food from a spoon that Mommy or Daddy is holding, but sometimes it works better if I have my own spoon to hold, too. Then I'm a bit distracted by it and don't try to grab on to the spoon one of my parents has. I'm getting better about feeding myself these days. I like to feed myself noodles, cheese cubes, cheerios, and sometimes peas. Fruit is still a bit slippery for me, but Mommy keeps trying to convince me that it will work. I also have finally figured out how to use my sippy cup with the valve in it. Now I just have to work on tipping it up far enough to get more than half of the liquid out.
