Well, as you can see here, I'm officially mobile. I don't exactly do the "hands and knees" crawling, but this random scoot-pull combination. For those of you who knew my cousin, Mark, when he was crawling, Mommy says it kind of reminds her of that. However I do it, though, I can get myself around pretty deliberately these days. In fact, in the first 24 hours of my movement explorations I discovered lamp cords, bookshelves, the toaster, some ant traps, and lots of dirt/dust/cat hair :)
I also now have six teeth-four on top, two on bottom. Maybe you can see them in this picture, maybe not. I sometimes use these new teeth to gnaw on things; othertimes I just grind them together. It's kind of a disturbing sound for Daddy and Mommy to hear!Besides all that, we had a fairly eventful week last week. I went with Mommy to a haircut appointment, then a dentist appointment. Of course I did well at both! Mommy had heard from a friend the strategy of parking me in my umbrella stroller with a few toys during the appointments and that seemed to appease me. We also went to the eye doctor for Mommy's check-up and for my InfantSee screening. Dr. Jens is a great proponent of this program which just checks to make sure my eyesight is developing normally. After all kinds of fun vision games, he said I'm perfectly fine.
Finally, this past weekend was absolutely BEAUTIFUL here! We were outside as much as we could be on both Saturday and Sunday; Mommy and I are going to be outdoors a lot today, too. I just LOVE the outdoors! I'm even pretty good about not putting things (you know, dirt, grass, pinecones) in my mouth :)
We even went to a neighborhood BBQ on Saturday evening. Can you believe there were three babies there who were my age and another family who's having a baby this summer?! Of all the kids, I was definitely the most talkative :)

On Sunday afternoon we tried out the baby bike seat we were given from some friends. I wasn't too pleased about the whole helmet affair, but was fine as soon as I was strapped in behind Mommy. We're not sure how often we'll be doing bike rides, but it's nice to know we have another outdoor activity ;)
Well, I'm off to take a nap. Mommy hopes it's a good one since I didn't get very good ones yesterday and have been getting up kind of early these days, too.
