Matt took Friday afternoon off so we could paint our bedroom. Then we hired a neighbor girl, Paige, to watch Anna on Saturday morning so we could begin the adventure of painting the living room. With Paige's help, and Anna's good nap on Saturday, we managed to finish the living room! Of course, then we were all exhausted ... all except Anna! We let her run around outside for a bit while we rested in some lawn chairs, then headed in to Culver's for dinner. We'd never actually ordered Anna a kid's meal from a fast food restaurant before Saturday (besides a side of rice and beans from Chipotle), but I think it's obvious we do now. She ate her whole corn dog, applesauce, and milk, plus some veggies from my salad, fries from Matt, and a fair bit of the ice cream we shared!
Yesterday afternoon we went to a local corn maze/playtime farm with some friends from church. What a fun fall place to visit! There were animals to pet (which Anna just LOVED), cool contraptions to crawl around, lots of pumpkins and gourds to look at, and two corn mazes to tackle. Since Anna and Sadie aren't really up for long adventures through corn yet, we opted for the short maze. Good times!

Finally, Matt likes to teach Anna some of the more silly behaviors that Mommy often avoids ... like sticking her tongue out. A few weeks ago Matt was keeping an eye on Anna outside while I was cleaning up after dinner and when they came back in he said, "Mommy, watch this!" and stuck his tongue out at Anna. She proceeded to stick her tongue out and then laughed uncontrollably. Silly girl. The next morning Matt got her up in the morning when she woke up and she started the day by sticking her tongue out at him and laughing.
