Mommy and Daddy got out my exersaucer last night (on loan from Daddy's former co-worker, Mary Ann) and I got such a kick out of it. It was hard for me to believe that I was upright without Mommy or Daddy holding me up. And then ... there were all of those fun things to look at! This toy is going to be so fun for me as I'm more able to move myself around and look at the different toys in front of me. So far the bee and the bouncing butterfly are my favorites.
Even though the exersaucer is fun, boy, is it hard work! After a little while playing in it today, I got kind of tired and decided to rest my mouth on the edge. That turned out to be fun by itself since I could move my mouth and tongue around on the fabric. Mommy thought I was getting tired to the point of crankiness, but I was enjoying myself so much that I started to throw a fit when Mommy took me out. I got over it pretty fast, though, when I got to lay outside under the trees and watch the leaves move in the breeze :)
Daddy and Mommy also thought I might enjoy "eating" with them at dinner last night so they got out my chair and let me watch them while they ate dinner. It was actually kind of fun; at least it was a different experience for me. Today I had lunch with Mommy, and thought it would be fun to stick my hands in my mouth while she ate. No solids for me yet, though; I'm content with my current meals :)This week has been a pretty relaxed one for me. On Monday, Mommy and I went to an apple orchard to get enough apples to make applesauce (Mommy and Daddy's apple trees didn't make very many apples this year and they LOVED the applesauce from last year so much that they didn't want to go without it). Tuesday I helped Mommy make applesauce by being a happy and content baby who didn't require much entertainment from Mommy. Yesterday we went to story time at the library again ... boy, is that ever fun! Sometimes the other babies are more fun to look at than books :) Today we went to Bible Study at church and then maybe we'll go to the zoo tomorrow; it's supposed to be such a nice day. We'll see how I sleep tonight and what kind of a mood I'm in tomorrow.
