Mommy and I both look forward to Daddy coming home from work these days. I mean, Mommy and I love each other lots, but it's nice to have another person around the house in the evenings :)
When Daddy comes home, he and I enjoy playing on the floor together, whether it's "flying" or talking or reading. Mommy and I enjoy these things, too, but somehow it's different when it's with Daddy :)
Last night Mommy had me in the front carrier and we walked around the yard looking at all of the changes that come with fall. When we came inside, we looked in a (big, full length) mirror for a bit. How fun was that! I was mesmerized by my reflection and the "baby in the mirror". Then, I saw Mommy in the mirror, too! We locked eyes for several minutes while I was trying to figure out why I heard Mommy's voice behind me, but saw her face in front of me. This was the first time I had really recognized my whole body in the mirror, and another person, too.
I'm getting pretty good at using my hands nowadays. I like to suck on my hands/fingers a LOT, but also enjoy trying to grab and touch different things. I'm not always accurate with my grabs, but Mommy and Daddy can see me concentrating so hard when I see something that I want to touch. All that thinking and practice will pay off one of these days.
