Yesterday, Mommy and I headed out to visit Mommy's friend, Jackie, and her new baby, Benjamin. My favorite part of the trip was playing with Brewer, the dog.
We had such a good time. I know that Mommy had a good time with Jackie and Benjamin, and I had a good time being someplace new, and, of course, pulling on Brewer's fur :)

Mommy was pretty impressed that I didn't get jealous or anything when she was holding Benjamin. I wanted to touch him, though, just like I want to touch everything.
We got home and all was good, but by bedtime I had developed a little bit of a cough. No big deal until 3:30 a.m. when I woke up sounding like a mix between a barking dog and a honking goose. Daddy got me in the bathroom with the shower running to loosen everything up while Mommy called the nurse. The nurse sent us to the ER and by the time we got there, I was much better, but they still gave me some steroids and a breathing treatment to help me out.
Turns out I have my first case of croup and don't like it at all. By the time we got home at 6, I crashed for about 3 hours, ate breakfast, then was just plain crabby until Mommy finally got me to fall back asleep. We all hope that I'll get over this pretty quickly, not only for me, but so that Mommy and Daddy can get some sleep, too!
Besides all of those eventful happenings, I'm getting pretty good at moving around on my tummy. I can turn in a 360 degree circle (especially if I'm "chasing" a toy) and can also scoot backwards (especially on the hardwood floor!). Of course, those things haven't happened much today since I'm just feeling rotten.
Let's hope for a good night's sleep for all!
