This past Wednesday Grandpa and Grandma Mischnick came down for a visit. They "say" it was for Daddy's birthday, but I think we all know who was the center of attention :)
I had a lot of fun playing with them and showing them how I dance and put objects in to containers now instead of just taking them out.
Not only did I enjoy seeing Grandpa and Grandma, but I also liked saying hi to their dog, Bear. I just LOVE animals!
Today Mommy, Daddy, and I are going to drive down to Bloomington (Mommy's old stomping grounds) to see my great-aunt Kathy and great-uncle Martin. Then tomorrow we're going to meet my great-grandma Colba (in St. Louis) and my great-grandma Rothe (in Altamont) before we head back to Bloomington. Sunday we'll get to go to Mommy's old church before we finally make it back here to Madison.
It will be a lot of time in the car, but I'm usually a good traveller so we'll just have to wait and see how it goes. Mommy's trying to give me lots of moving around time this morning since I'll be cooped up for a while the next few days and, let me tell you, I am taking advantage of it!
Oh! I almost forgot! Daddy and Mommy have been trying to teach me the baby signs for "more" and "all done" for a long time, and it's finally paying off. Last week I started asking for "more" of the foods that I like (such as cheese and fruit) and am getting really good at saying "all done" when I don't feel like eating anymore. Hooray! Now Mommy's trying to throw in some other signs to see what I'll pick up on next.
