I LOVE summertime-even if it's not officially summer! The weather has been SO nice that we've been frequenting some of the state parks around us. Mommy and I have gone on some hikes at Lake Kegonsa State Park (only about 10 minutes from our house) and Daddy even joined us for one of these on Friday. Then, today, we went to Tower Hill State Park with the Petzolds (some friends from church), and braved the many mosquitoes to take a walk up to the tower. Tomorrow we're planning on meeting Uncle Chris, Aunt Miriam, and cousins Mark and Nate at yet another state park to play. Uncle Chris and Daddy plan on mountain biking while my cousins and I are going to play at a park.
When I'm not enjoying the outdoors, I like to cruise around on the furniture. Today I would stand up on one couch, sit down, move to the chair, stand up, sit down, move to another couch, stand up, sit down, ... well, you get the picture. Needless to say, I was pretty tired this evening.By the way, my hair is so crazy because I slept in the car and I tend to get pretty funky hairdos when that happens. My bath tonight fixed that, though :)
Our cats help me get lots of exercise these days, too. I think it's fun to chase them and then stand up next to them, shouting at them and telling them how much I like them. Shadow even lets me "pat" her sometimes, while Pounce still runs away when I get near :) I think Shadow is slowly realizing that I'm another person who will potentially pet her and she LOVES that kind of attention.
