Not only did I enjoy my pancakes and eggs, but I also got to pet a chicken, a goat, AND a kitten, play in the sand, and take a wagon ride. Needless to say, I was pretty wiped out after that whole ordeal and slept most of the afternoon.
Sunday after church we got to go to a nearby park with some neighbors, including Carly who is only a few months older than me. Carly and I have also been seeing each other in the evenings after dinner when our families go outside to play. Carly practices taking real steps while I do laps around the driveway pushing my toy.
Then today Daddy took the day off of work so that we could have some family field trips. We started the day off by going to pick some strawberries at a local farm, then headed home so I could nap, before going to the zoo for a picnic lunch and so I could show Daddy all those crazy animals. This time the primate house was my favorite, although the giraffes and bears were also fun. Daddy and I then got to hang out outside again after dinner while Mommy went for a bike ride. What a great extended weekend!

I'm a little wiped out, though. Last week at VBS Mommy let me bring my blanket along to church for a bit of extra comfort. Needless to say, my blanket has become a good friend of mine. Sometimes I'll even go into my room and try to get it out of my crib if I'm tired. With a tasty thumb and a cozy blanket, who needs anything else?
