Practicing walking

Looks like I'm like my Daddy in another way. For those of you who don't know, my Daddy learned how to walk by pushing a table around in front of him. The other night I started doing the same thing on my own. The table gave me just enough traction so that it didn't move too fast.

Once I got the hang of that, I started pushing my toys that have wheels. In fact, this morning I went the length of our basement several times before finally getting tired. (Mommy helped me turn around when I got to a wall.) It took a lot of concentration at first, but then I got a bit more comfortable with it. Walking on my own is going to be exciting and yet scary (for all of us) at the same time!

I'm a bit tired this morning since I haven't been napping very well lately. There's just too many exciting things going on! Daddy was home on Friday afternoon so I simply decided that I didn't want to nap. Then on Saturday some friends came over in the afternoon and I put up a bit of a fuss when Mommy tried to get me to sleep, especially since there were also some big storms outside. Then yesterday was all different because of church and Bible Study.

Hopefully I'll get to recover a bit today since Mommy has some exciting outtings planned for us this week. Since it's the last week of school at Mommy's former school, we're going to head over there a few times to wish Mommy's former students fairwell and to also hang out with the teachers (now that they'll have lots less stress in their lives!)
