We spent a lot of time outdoors yesterday during the election primaries at the town hall down the road promoting our neighborhood park improvements. We're working with some neighbors to get a slide and some climing equipment at our local park and thought we could use a little publicity. Unfortunately, the town had a record LOW turnout yesterday. At least Anna got a couple of hours of just milling around in a new outdoor space :)

This morning we had our first play date with Sadie (who's almost 2!) and Tina in a LONG time. We met at a park and just hung out for about 2 hours. The girls enjoyed swinging a lot while Tina and I had a chance to catch up on life. Anna liked staring up at the leaves while she was swinging (I'll be the first to admit that this is not the best picture to show what she did) while Sadie prefers to swing on her tummy :)

Anna also got to have some fun play time with 2-year-old Eli on Monday since we spent the day with him at his house while his mom had to work and his dad was out of town. Anna tried her hardest to keep up with him, but he's just a little too fast and a bit more talkative than her. Needless to say, she was WIPED OUT on Monday night ... and then on Tuesday, too. I've enjoyed these experiences with 2-year-olds this week because they help me see how different life will be when Anna is talking ... Although I know there are positives as well as challenges with this new phase :)
