This past weekend was pretty sunny and warm, too, so we set up the pool in the backyard for some fun afternoon splash time. We didn't manage to get Anna in her swimsuit before she got wet either day we played. Oh, well. She certainly loves the water, even if it's straight from the well and cold! She found out the hard way just how cold the water was when she reached too far for a toy and toppled/climbed into the cold, cold water.

Since then, Anna's not been too keen on actually playing IN the pool. She'd rather stand outside of it and just splash or chase toys.
This weekend we managed to go to the Thresheree again and witness some world record breaking steam threshing (you didn't know there was such a thing, did you?) We also canned more tomatoes (imagine that?!) on Monday when some friends from church came over for the "experience". Our weekend wrapped up with a quick visit from Miriam, Chris and the boys last night ... and a dinner at Culver's ... yum!
This week is our last week of our summertime schedule. Next week we'll have Bible Study starting up at church on Thursday mornings and story time at the library. Since the lapsit story time is only for 6 weeks, we're going to try the "big kid" one, too, and see how it goes!
